ENID, OK (July 25, 2019) –
The City of Enid public relations office received notification late Wednesday evening that 54 streetlights along Highway 412 were converted to LED lights during a recent light replacement project.
Mike Ruby, community affairs manager for O.G.&E told city communication officials, “this is the first phase of the project to convert the existing lights to LED and work crews changed out 54 lights in a one-day effort.”
Work crews were working down the eastbound outside lane of Highway 412 between 30th and 3rd street on Wednesday. According to Ruby, “workers completed this phase in a single day and due to the tremendous effort, there is no need to impact traffic flow on 412 for an additional day.”
