Although Oklahoma State was not placed into the Top 25 in the initial Coaches Poll, the Cowboys did receive 20 votes throughout the poll overall. In all, only two Big 12 teams were named to the preseason poll, with Oklahoma remaining in the Top 5 and Texas rounding out the Top 10. The Associated Press will soon announce their preseason Top 25 poll, with an update to be expected upon its release.
