You know the old adage “Every dog has its day.”

The City of Enid Parks and Recreation department is making sure that day is coming soon.  Officials have announced two events in August where dogs and their owners can enjoy the remaining “dog days of summer.”

Runners and dog owners are invited to come to Crosslin Park the morning of Saturday, August 17, 2019 as the City of Enid is hosting the Fast and the Furriest 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run.  Pre-Registration/Packet Pick-up is at 6:30am at Pavilion #1 then the races begins at 7:00 a.m.  Fee for the 1-mile run is $10 and $20 for the 5k event.

Later that afternoon, dogs can enjoy Champlin Pool on Saturday, August 17th between 2:00pm and 6:00pm for the annual Doggie Dip.  This annual and popular event allows dogs to enjoy the hot summer with a dip in the pool.
