With the recent appointment of Raydon Leaton to NOC-Enid Vice President, the local school announced today that Scott Mansfield has been named as the next Head Baseball Coach for the Jets baseball program. Mansfield previously served as an assistant coach on former Head Coach Raydon Leaton’s staff.
In Mansfield’s previous nine years with the NOC-Enid program, the Jets have steadily been one of the premier baseball programs among the junior college ranks. Mansfield has been a part of three different Region II Tournament championships, three trips to the NJCAA World Series, and one National Championship achieved in 2019. As a pitching coach, Mansfield has taken his talents internationally with a prior stint in Melville, Saskatchewan, Canada to assist the Melville Millionaires of the Western Major Baseball League, while also seeing multiple pitchers achieve success in the NCAA and professional ranks.
Mansfield inherits a program coming off of its first NJCAA National Championship in baseball, while also riding a streak of 6 straight seasons with at least 30+ wins. Mansfield will have his first major public appearance as Head Coach when he and his players will take to downtown Enid to be honored with their World Series Celebration and Ring Ceremony on September 14th.
