City of Enid Engineering officials announced late Monday the temporary closure of the intersection at Garfield Street and Fountain Lake Drive.  This closure will take place during the morning hours on Wednesday, August 28, 2019.

The temporary closure will allow contractors to cut and remove a portion of the street allowing for installation of a new water line.  City officials said this project should be completed within two days.

In addition, City of Enid Parks and Recreation Supervisor Cory Buller announced today crews will be blocking west Randolph Avenue between Independence and Grand on Wednesday, August 28, 2019 from 6:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. The temporary closure will allow the Technical Services crew time to hang the Cherokee Strip banner across Randolph Avenue.

The community is invited to attend the 2019 Cherokee Strip Celebration set for Friday, September 13 through Saturday, September 14, 2019 in Enid.
