Starting this Monday, road work will begin on Oklahoma 51A in the Southard area.
Oklahoma 51A will be closed between Oklahoma 51 and Oklahoma 58 north of Southard starting at 8 a.m. Monday through the winter months as part of a bridge rehabilitation project and a surface repair project, according to Oklahoma Department of Transportation. Detour is westbound Oklahoma 51 to northbound Oklahoma 58 through Longdale.
The road will remain closed until both projects are complete, which is expected in the winter, according to ODOT.
