Crimestoppers asks for tips regarding home invasion!

Enid Police are investigating a home invasion that occurred on 9-18-2019. Case# 2019-9255

On 9-18-2019 at 0352 hours Enid Police responded to a residence in the 1600 block of S. Jefferson regarding a first degree burglary. Responding officers found a man, age 23, inside the residence and bleeding heavily from head injuries. He told officers he’d heard someone enter the front door of his residence and he called out to them. A moment later a suspect, described as a medium build Hispanic male approximately 5’5”, ran into the bedroom and began beating the victim in the head with a pipe. The victim fought with the suspect for a brief period before the suspect ran out the front of the residence and north on Jefferson.

EPD officers and Garfield County Sheriff’s deputies searched the area with a K9 and were unable to locate the suspect. The victim was transported to Integris Bass Hospital by ambulance. He was treated for non life threatening injuries and later discharged.

Police have no indication that this incident is related to the home invasion on W. Vine that occurred on 9-11-2019.
