A Tuesday special meeting of the Enid Public Schools Board of Education will determine the status of Mike Dods, the former Enid High School campus police chief.
The special meeting is set for 4 p.m. at the Administrative Services Center, 500 S. Independedence Ave today, December 12th.
Dods has been under fire from EPS over reporting violent incidents to the district attorney and had previously reached an agreement on November 11th to settle the dispute before the resolution was unanimously denied by the Board of Education.
The agenda for tonights meeting is as follows:

II.A. Discussion then possible action to vote to hire and approve a contract with Mark Rains of the Cheek Law Firm (P.O. #2020-11-1576) to advise the Board of Education during this hearing.

III. Discussion then possible action to hold a due process hearing for Mike Dods regarding his possible termination.
III.A. The Board President, Mrs. Torry Turnbow, shall convene the hearing, state the purpose of the hearing and introduce the parties. The Minutes Clerk, Dr. Sam Robinson, shall administer an oath to all persons who will testify.
III.B. Opening statement by attorney for the Superintendent.
III.C. Opening statement by Mr. Dods or his attorney.
III.D. Presentation of evidence by attorney for the Superintendent, subject to cross-examination by Mr. Dods or his attorney and questions from the Board of Education.
III.E. Presentation of evidence by Mr. Dods or his attorney, subject to cross-examination by the attorney for the Superintendent and questions from the Board of Education.
III.F. Presentation of rebuttal and surrebuttal evidence, as necessary.
III.G. Closing statement by Mr. Dods or his attorney.

III.I. Discussion then possible action to go into Executive Session to discuss and deliberate on the termination or not of Mr. Dods, pursuant to O.S. Title 25, Section 307 (B) (1) and (7).
III.J. Acknowledge return to Open Session.
III.K. Statement of Executive Session minute.
III.L. Discussion then possible action to adopt Findings of Fact.
III.M. Vote to terminate or not terminate Mr. Dods from his employment with the District.
