Enid Public Schools announces Teacher and Support of the Year

Last night, during the fifth annual Education Celebration, Enid Public School Foundation named the EPS Teacher of the Year and Support Professional of the Year in a ceremony at Prairie View Elementary.

The teacher of the year was Aaron Lusby, an eighth-grade science teacher at Waller Middle School Elvira Lopez, an ELL tutor and interpreter at Monroe Elementary School, was named Support Professional of the Year.

Also nominated for Teacher of the Year, and individually honored Wednesday evening, were:

• Mollie Lorenz-Robbins – pre-K, Carver Early Childhood Center.

• Sonja Jackson, music – Adams Elementary School.

• Sandra Lippard, pre-K – Coolidge Elementary School.

• Sue Dell, second grade – Eisenhower Elementary School.

• Katie Killam, kindergarten – Garfield Elementary School.

• Ashley Martin, kindergarten – Glenwood Elementary School.

• Bettina Tidenberg, fifth grade – Hayes Elementary School.

• Angela Warbington, third grade – Hoover Elementary School.

• Shannon Lowe, fourth grade – McKinley Elementary School.

• Kara Cranston, kindergarten – Monroe Elementary School.

• Cathy Rose, pre-K – Prairie View Elementary School.

• Ana Casillas, third grade – Taft Elementary School.

• Erik Thomas, leadership – Emerson Middle School.

• Jeff Funk, 7th Grade Science – Longfellow Middle School.

• Brenda Neidigk, history/English – Enid High School.

• Kelli Irvin, English – Lincoln Academy.
