A 33-year-old Enid man was arrested Friday evening on a tip from a resident about an aggravated DUI after she saw a vehicle hit curbs and mailboxes.

Lt. Eric Holtzclaw was told by dispatch they were on the phone with a 911 caller following a vehicle that had run up into a yard and hit several curbs as they followed them from the 3000 block of Willowbrook.. The caller spoke with police at Casey’s General Store, 206. N. Oakwood, and said the driver of the vehicle had gone inside the store.

Police detained Stuart Wade Crenshaw as Crenshaw matched the description given by the caller and was having trouble standing.

Holtzclaw asked the man if he had been drinking, and Crenshaw initially said he had not, according to the report. The man also said he had not smoked any marijuana that evening, according to the report. Holtzclaw told Crenshaw someone had followed him and noted him driving into a yard, hitting several curbs and running off the road on his way to the store. He did however admit to using his phone while driving.

Crenshaw agreed to take the state’s test and completed the first test with a .16 BrAC and the second test with a .17 BrAC, according to the report. He was booked on a complaint of aggravated DUI.
