(Enid, OK) A 61-year-old Lamont woman told Enid police she spent about $10,000 of her mother’s money, accruing more than $50,000 in outstanding charges at the nursing home where the 81-year-old stayed. Susan Kathleen Starr was charged last week with felony counts of financial neglect by caretaker and exploitation of an elderly person, both punishable by up to 10 years in prison and/or a fine of up to $10,000.
Online court records show bond on the warrant issued for Starr’s arrest was set at $20,000.
