(Enid, OK) Garfield County’s Criminal Justice Authority met on Thursday night to discuss a variety of topics.

Jail Administrator Ben Crooks was present to talk about a storage building attached to the jail costing roughly $200,000 as well as personnel decisions. Projects including the storage building are most likely to be pushed back to July during the fiscal year’s budget rollover.

Crooks was asked about his staff and how many applicants he’d had apply for various duties, but according to Crooks the vast majority of applicants are unqualified for even an interview. Crooks stated that certain qualifications needed to be met before training could begin.
