(Enid, OK) City officials have announced that Kennedy Street will be closed between East Cherry Avenue and East Hemlock Avenue beginning Tuesday, May 19, 2020. The closure will also include the following intersections:
- Kennedy Street and East Cherry Avenue
- Kennedy Street and East Hemlock Avenue.
This closure will allow for the removal and reconstruction of the streets and sidewalks. Kennedy Street will remain closed during construction, which is expected to take a couple months.
In addition, West Maple Ave between North Washington Street and North Independence Street will be closed May 19, 2020 until May 25, 2020. The street will be closed to install a new water line across West Maple Avenue.
The intersection of Redbird Lane and Edgewood Drive will be closed beginning Wednesday, May 20, 2020.
This closure is expected to last approximately two weeks and will allow contractors to complete concrete repairs.
Motorists are encouraged to follow posted traffic control signs and to drive with caution in this area during the construction effort.
