(Enid, OK) The Enid Regional Development Alliance has officially recommended the approval of The District, a development of a shopping center along with a movie theater, with an incentive package after the board’s special session on Wednesday May, 27th.

The $14.5 million project includes 7.5 acres of land and a $3.5 million sales tax rebate over a period over fifteen years. The land is located the old Lahoma Courts site where the District will also feature a trampoline park, Hideaway’s Pizza, Colton’s Steakhouse and Jiffy Trip.

The theater proposal moves on to the next stage where the city commission will weigh final approval of The District.

The other item on the agenda saw no action taken as a potential food waste processing plant was discussed during an executive session. Bringing in the plant has a potential of bringing in a $90 million investment along with 200 jobs to Enid.
