(Stillwater, OK) Stillwater’s police station was the site of protests on June 3rd as those who are outraged over George Floyd’s death gathered from both Tulsa and Oklahoma City.

Hundreds of people came for a peaceful protest as more than a dozen speakers spoke about white supremacy, systemic racism, and police brutality. Stillwater’s Police Chief Jeff Watts was one of the speakers who addressed the crowd along with 17-year-old Rayna Wright.

“We need to do something that the curators of institutional and systemic racism would never expect,” Wright told the crowd. “That is to come together, all of us, as brothers and sisters sharing the same soil.”

Many of the protesters responded well with each speaker, organizers were pleased with the peaceful turnout.
