Oklahoma Sees Spike in COVID-19 Positives

(Oklahoma City, OK) The Oklahoma State Department of Health have reported another 158 Oklahomans testing positive for coronavirus on Monday along with five new deaths.

A total of 7,363 Oklahomans have tested positive for COVID-19 and 353 total virus-related deaths were reported, the state health department said Tuesday.

A total of 1,061 Oklahomans have been hospitalized due to the virus with 148 patients currently in the hospital.

So far, 6,073 Oklahomans have recovered from the virus with 59 more cases considered recovered since Monday. Health officials said recovered means the patient is not hospitalized or deceased and it has been 14 days since the onset of symptoms or report.

As of Tuesday, a total of 226,678 tests have returned negative. This includes state testing and private lab testing since February.
