Counties Implement Burn Ban

(Enid, OK) Counties in Northwest Oklahoma have implemented burn bans in order to keep the potential of further wildfires at a minimum. Alfalfa and Major counties have put bans in effect lasting fourteen days.

Included in the bans are trash fires, fireworks, bonfires, and campfires.

Garfield County Director of County Emergency Management Mike Honigsberg stated that citizens are not currently under a burn ban but should take precaution as long as drought conditions exist.
