City Approves Police Pay Increase, More

(Enid, OK) Enid city commissioners approved the collective bargaining agreement this past Tuesday evening brought forth by the police union implementing increase in salaries for both current and new officers.

Effective starting today, the new plan will see salaries go from $37,041.91 to $41,641.60. A sign-on bonus will also be granted to new officers totaling $6,000 in three separate payments of $2,000. The new cap on officer’s pay will be $61,795.23.

The CBA contains hourly rate increases for security to third parties, field training officers, and sergeants.

There will be a new skate park as well, when the commission approved the design from Spohn Ranch Skateparks, construction will begin in the fall at its new location on 5th by Broadway and Randolph. The project is set to cost just around $378,000 after being budgeted for $300,000.
