First Casualty to Adolescent in Oklahoma

(Oklahoma City, OK) Oklahoma has suffered the first death of a minor from the COVID-19 pandemic according to the Oklahoma State Department of Health. According to an email distributed, a child in the 5-17 age group has died from the virus in Comanche County.

According to CNHI’s Duncan Banner, the death is that of a 13-year-old dependent of a Fort Sill service member.

Total number of coronavirus cases in the state of Oklahoma surpassed 20,000 with 424 deaths according to the OSDH.
