(Oklahoma City, OK) Governor Kevin Stitt in a press conference today announced that he has tested positive for coronavirus, making him the first governor in the United States to get the virus.

Governor Stitt states that he “feels fine” so far, and that the rest of his family have tested negative.

In what he called the “new normal”, the governor said he has not decided to issue a mandate for masks, citing individual freedoms and circumstances for different people.

The governor described as symptoms as a “bad cold” and took a test when he started feeling symptoms.

Governor Stitt said he hasn’t second guessed any of his decisions throughout the lock down process.

Free testing sites are available around the state, including at Garfield County’s Health Department.
