We reported early on Monday morning that the coronavirus forced Deer  Creek-Lamont to cancel their first football game of the season against Kremlin Hillsdale.

“Our game this Thursday has been cancelled because of Covid. I believe Kremlin has rescheduled with Hollis,” DCLA’s head coach Justin Schanbacher told our sports department via email.

Now, the first two weeks of the Eagles season has been cancelled due to COVID-19. Good news is that no student athletes tested positive on Coach Schanbacher’s football team. Regardless though, the Eagles second game of the year was supposed to take place on September 3 at home against the reigning state champion, Pond Creek-Hunter Panthers. That has been cancelled.

The entire DCLA school in learning virtually for now, due to a faculty member testing positive for COVID-19.
