State Reports 19 More Deaths Along with Over 1k More Positive COVID-19 Cases

(Enid, OK) The Oklahoma State Department of Health reported 19 more deaths in the state, in which COVID-19 was a cause or contributor, and 1,307 more positive cases on Wednesday.

Garfield County saw an increase of six COVID-19 cases on Wednesday with 340 of those being active cases. All six cases were in Enid, which raises the overall total to 2,088 since March, with 305 active cases.

Deaths reported were 16 in the 65 and older range: three women and one man in Lincoln County; three men from Tulsa County; women from Ottawa, Mayes, Caddo, Oklahoma Pushmataha counties; and men from Cleveland, Beaver, Pottawatomie and Rogers counties. There were three in the 50-64 range: three men in Tulsa, Carter and Payne counties.

Other Northwest Oklahoma county case increases on Wednesday were 13 in Kingfisher, nine in Woods, eight in Woodward, seven in Major, three in Alfalfa and one each in Noble and Grant counties.
