Drive-By Shooting Suspects Arrested

(Enid, OK) Two men have been arrested in connection to a pair of drive-by shootings after it  a dash-cam recorded the incidents and the two suspects were also seen revisiting the sites of the shootings.

Christopher Robert Brown, 62, and Coral “Cory” Mae Baker, 68, were arrested on Wednesday for felony complaints of shooting into an occupied dwelling, conspiracy to commit a felony and malicious injury to property.

The first incident was reported at 11:36 p.m. Oct. 13th in the Sun Ridge Estates area. The second was reported at 12:11 a.m. Oct. 18th in the 300 block of East Cherry. The shootings also tied to an incident of stalking reported to the EPD Oct. 19th.

The only damages were to two vehicles and some property with no injuries being reported.

A substantial amount of evidence related to the crimes was found, after EPD was given a search warrant Tuesday afternoon, at 802 W. Rush. Among the evidence was a firearm believed to be involved in at least one of the shootings. A dash-camera system also was also found.

Another search warrant was obtained for the videos stored on the dash-camera system. Videos included the shootings and the reported incident of stalking, as well as Baker and Brown conducting their own investigation into whether the drive-by shootings were properly done and the videos showed Brown hired Baker to commit the shootings.

Based upon the evidence in the case, further felony charges could be sought against the two men. The case remains under investigation, and no further information will be released at this time.
