Over 1k New COVID-19 Cases Reported in State, Enid Resident Among 22 Deaths

(Enid, OK) Oklahoma State Department of Health reported 22 more deaths, including an Enid man, while cases rose by more than 1,000 on Tuesday.

Twenty-one deaths that included the Garfield County resident were in the 65 and older age group: seven men in Cleveland County, two women and a man in Oklahoma County, two women in Custer County, a man and a woman in Bryan County; three men in Delaware, Pushmataha and Tulsa counties; and three women in Okmulgee, Rogers and Wagoner counties. A Lincoln County man in the 50-64 age group also was reported. None of the deaths were in the last 24 hours, according to the OSDH.

Garfield County saw a gain of 28 COVID-19 cases on Tuesday for an overall total of 2,443, with 338 of those cases being active. Enid saw an increase of 25 cases for a total of 2,236, with 297 active cases.

Other Northwest Oklahoma county case increases on Tuesday were six each in Kingfisher and Woodward, four in Noble, three each in Blaine and Woods, two each in Alfalfa and Grant and one in Major County.
