Enid Resident Among 14 Deaths Due to COVID-19, 2.2k More Cases Tuesday

(Enid, OK) The Oklahoma State Department of Health reported 2,224 new COVID-19 cases statewide and 14 more deaths, including an Enid woman.

The Enid woman in the 50-64 age group, according to the OSDH. This raises Enid’s total to 39 and the county’s death total to 41.

Of the 14 deaths reported, 10 were in the 65 and older age range including two women in Canadian County, one woman in Harper County, one woman in Tulsa County, one man in Custer County, one man and one woman in Texas County, one woman in Cherokee County and one man and one man in Oklahoma County.

The other two reported deaths were in the 50-64 age group including one man in Canadian County and one man in Oklahoma County. A death was also reported in the 36-49 age group in Lincoln County.

There have been 2,086 deaths reported in Oklahoma, where the virus was the cause or contributing factor, according to the OSDH.

Garfield County gained 27 new cases Tuesday, raising the active total to 505, according to OSDH. 443 of those active cases are in Enid.

Other county increases in Northwest Oklahoma on Tuesday included 13 in Kingfisher, 10 in Woods, 14 in Woodward, 11 in Noble, three in Major, five in Blaine and 10 in Grant.
