2 Deaths Reported in NW Oklahoma As State Reports 22 Deaths

(Enid, OK) Two deaths were reported in Northwest Oklahoma as an Enid man and an Alva woman were a part of the 22 COVID-19-related deaths reported on Tuesday.

The Oklahoma State Department of Health reported 1,194 new cases statewide on Tuesday as Garfield County’s numbers only increased by three, making it 491 active cases with the single-day decrease of 79, according to OSDH.

With the two deaths in Garfield and Woods counties, 17 other deaths reported were in the 65 and older age range including men from Creek, Tulsa, Grady, McCurtain, Oklahoma, Pontotoc and Cleveland counties and women from Tulsa, Kay, Oklahoma, Cleveland and McClain counties.

Other reported deaths included a Love County woman and an Oklahoma County man in the 50-64 age group alongside an Oklahoma County man in the 18-35 age group, according to OSDH.

Other county case increases in Northwest Oklahoma on Tuesday included 22 in Woods, 11 in Woodward, three each in Alfalfa and Major and two in Kingfisher.
