5 COVID-19-related Deaths Reported Monday, Including Lahoma Resident

(Enid, OK) Oklahoma gained 2,699 new cases, according to the Oklahoma State Department of Health. Garfield County case numbers increased by 27 Monday for a total of 5,605 since March, with of those 477 active cases.

A Lahoma man in the 65 and older age group was one of the five COVID-19-related deaths reported Monday by the OSDH. In addition to Garfield County, three more deaths reported Monday were in the 65 and older age group: men from Garvin and Custer counties and a Cherokee County woman. An Oklahoma County man in the 50-64 age group was also among the reported deaths on Monday.

There have been 2,552 deaths in Oklahoma in which the virus was the cause or a contributing factor, the OSDH reported.

Other Northwest Oklahoma county case increases included nine in Kingfisher, seven in Woods, seven in Blaine, three in Woodward, three in Alfalfa, three in Grant and two in Noble County.
