2 Enid Residents Among New COVID-19 Deaths Reported By OSDH

(Enid, OK) The Oklahoma State Department of Health reported two Enid men, one in the 50-64 age group and another in the 65 and older age group, were among the 19 COVID-19 deaths reported on Tuesday.

Oklahoma gained 1,497 new cases, according to the OSDH. Garfield County saw an increase of 28 COVID-19 cases on Tuesday for an overall total of 5,633 since March, with 420 active cases.

16 of the 19 deaths reported were from in the 65 and older age group including the Garfield County man, two men from Oklahoma County, two Custer County men, one man and one woman from Cleveland County, a Mayes County woman, one Comanche County man, one Canadian County man, one Cotton county man, men from Ottawa, Pawnee and Tulsa counties, and women from Stephens and Payne County.

Three of the deaths were in the 50-64 age group including the man from Garfield County, and women from Oklahoma and McCurtain counties.

2,571 Oklahomans have succumb to virus, with it being the cause or a contributing factor, according to the OSDH.

Other county case increases in Northwest Oklahoma included 15 in Woodward, 10 in Woods, eight in Kingfisher, three in Grant, three in Noble, three in Alfalfa, two in Major and two in Blaine County.
