(Enid, OK) Oklahoma saw 2,210 new COVID-19 cases on Tuesday with 29 additional deaths being reported, including an Enid woman, according to Oklahoma State Department of Health.
Statewide, 2,804 Oklahomans have succumbed to the virus as a cause or a contributing factor, the OSDH reported.
Of the 29 deaths reported Tuesday, 21 were in the 65 and older age group including two women and one man in Cleveland County,one woman and four men in Oklahoma County, one woman and one man in Garvin County, one Lincoln County woman, one McClain County man, one Garfield County woman, one Osage County woman, one Rogers County man, one Comanche County man, a Beckham County man, one Hughes County woman, one Sequoyah County woman, one Stephens County man and one Washita County man.
Five of the deaths were in the 50-64 age range including one Pottawatomie County woman, one Cotton County man, one Oklahoma County man, one Cleveland County woman and one Seminole County man. Three deaths were in the 36-49 age range included one Pontotoc County man and two Cherokee County men.
Garfield County’s COVID-19 cases increased by 25 on Tuesday for a total of 6,083 since March, with 548 of those being active.
Other county case increases in Northwest Oklahoma included 10 in Alfalfa, nine in Noble, eight in Kingfisher, five in Blaine, four in Woods, three in Grant, two in Woodward, and one in Major County.
