(Enid, OK) Water will be shut off on Tuesday at the intersection of Randolph and 8th to allow the installation of new water line, as the city of Enid begins a months-long planned road improvement project.

The procedure will cause a water outage from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on January 19th. The shutoff will affect 8th between Broadway and Maple, and Maple between 7th and 8th.

City Manager Jerald Gilbert said that water outages will last for one day to connect old lines to new lines and that the work will move west.

The work is the beginning of the $1.5 million road repair project on Randolph from Washington to 7th that is set to last 10 months. The work will also include the new skate park at Randolph and 5th.
