359 New COVID-19 Cases Reported Statewide Tuesday

(Enid, OK) The Oklahoma State Department of Health reported 359 new COVID-19 cases and 24 additional deaths, including a Blaine County woman, on Tuesday.

Cases in Garfield County increased by four for an overall total of 7,529 since the pandemic started, with 234 of them being active.

Of the 24 deaths, 21 were in the 65 and older age group including four men and two women in Oklahoma County, two Tulsa County men, one man each and one woman each in Grady and Carter counties, one man each in Okfuskee, Canadian, McCurtain, Rogers, Muskogee, and Ottawa counties and one woman each in Kay, Stephens and Blaine counties.

The three remaining deaths were in the 50-64 age group included a Canadian County woman and two men in Seminole and Coal counties.

According to OSDH, 16 of today’s reported deaths have occurred since Jan 1. There have been 4,227 deaths in the state in which COVID-19 was the cause or a contributing factor.

Other Northwest Oklahoma county case increases Tuesday included two in Grant, two in Woodward, one in Blaine, one in Kingfisher and one in Woods County,
