Oklahoma Reports 56 Deaths Tuesday, Just Over 100 New COVID-19 Cases

(Enid, OK) The Oklahoma State Department of Health reported 111 new COVID-19 cases on Tuesday with 56 additional deaths, including a Fairview man.

Overall, there have been 424,999 cases of COVID-19 reported in the state since the virus was officially reported in Oklahoma on March 6, 2020.

Of the 56 deaths, 48 were in the 65 and older age group including nine men and three women in Tulsa County, two men and two women in Oklahoma County, one man and two women in Pittsburg County, two men and three women in Comanche County, two Custer County men, one man each and one woman each in Muskogee and Caddo counties, one man each in Okmulgee, Adair, Canadian, Bryan, Grady, Major, Haskell, Pawnee and McClain counties and one woman each in Stephens, Kay, Cleveland, Jefferson, Pottawatomie, McIntosh, Osage, Atoka and Ottawa counties.

Six deaths were in the 50-64 age group including an Oklahoma County man, one man and one woman in Okmulgee County and one woman each in Osage, Tulsa, and Cherokee counties. The two remaining deaths were in the 36-49 age group including a Love County woman and a Canadian County man.

There have been 4,534 deaths in the state where COVID-19 was the cause or a contributing factor, OSDH reported.

Garfield County saw a reduction of one case on Tuesday for an overall total of 7,587, with 203 active cases.

The only other NW Oklahoma County case increases were in Blaine County, where they reported two new cases on Tuesday.
