Elton John chose strong words while slamming the Vatican for its hypocrisy in investing in movies about gays — while condemning them as sinners. Ultimate Classic Rock reported on the Catholic church’s stance against same-sex relationships, citing homosexuality as a “choice,” with gay unions being deemed “sinful,” which cannot be blessed.

The report posted: “In his tweet, Elton displayed a screenshot to a 2019 report from the Daily Beast which detailed some of the Vatican’s financial investments. Among them, $4.5 million towards the production of two films: Men In Black: International and Rocketman.”

Elton’s post reads: "How can the Vatican refuse to bless gay marriages because they 'are sin', yet happily make a profit from investing millions in 'Rocketman' — a film which celebrates my finding happiness from my marriage to David?? #hypocrisy"

Elton John admitted to us that the past three decades, in which he married longtime partner David Furnish and had two children with him, have marked the happiest and most centered his life has ever been: [“Life since 1990 has been all about trying to grow up, trying to see things from a different perspective — listening. And I was lucky to find my partner and that's been the saving grace of my life, as well."] SOUNDCUE (:10 OC: . . . life as welI)
