Single-Vehicle Accident Causes Multiple Injuries, Including an Infant Boy

(Enid, OK) An infant boy was among the hospitalized after being injured in a single-vehicle accident near Fairview on Friday.

The accident happened at 4:38 p.m. Friday on Oklahoma 58 about 3 miles south of Fairview.

The 3-month-old infant was admitted to OU Children’s Hospital in Oklahoma City in critical condition with head injuries following the accident, according to a report from the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

According to the report, James Cayot, 42-year-old Enid resident, was driving north on Oklahoma 58 when he fell asleep and went off the road into a ditch. The car rolled one time into the ditch.

Cayot was taken Fairview Medical Center alongside a 13-year-old girl from Fairview, a 13-year-old girl from Harker Heights, Texas and Jeremiah Cayot, 18, also of Harker Heights.

Sarah Schultz, 35-year-old Enid resident, was flown to OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City with possible chest and leg injuries. She was later treated and released.
