Enid Public Schools’ Early Childhood Enrollment Programs Begin Enrollment This Week

(Enid, OK) Enid Public Schools will begin enrollment for its 4-year-old program this week for the 2021-22 school year.

Families will be asked to pick up enrollment paperwork, complete it out of office and return them with appropriate documents by April 9th. All visitors must wear a face covering, that covers the mouth and nose, due to district policy.

Fowler Early Childhood Center 4-year-old Program, located at 102 S. 30th, near NWOSU-Enid campus, will accept new student enrollment from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Thursday at Fowler. Fowler will offer all the benefits of EPS 4-year-old classes, plus university students who will volunteer to work with students.

Students from Adams Elementary School, along with other students, will attend Fowler Early Childhood Center on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Students from Garfield Elementary School, along with other students, will attend Carver Early Childhood Center, located at Pastor Alfred Baldwin Jr. Way. Enrollment will be 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday at Carver.

Enrollment for the full-day, intergenerational 4-year-old program at The Commons, will be 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday at Carver Early Childhood Center at 815 Pastor Alfred Baldwin Jr. Way. Commons residents volunteer in the classroom and serve as “grandma” and “grandpa” helpers for the children.

Enrollment for the 4-year-old programs to be held at Coolidge, Eisenhower, Glenwood, Hayes, Hoover, McKinley, Monroe, Prairie View and Taft elementary schools will be 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Friday. Students should enroll at their respective schools.

All EPS 4-year-old programs focus on the academic, physical, emotional and social needs of children. Students must be 4-years-old on or before Sept. 1, 2021 to qualify.

On May 10th, full-day kindergarten enrollment for students who are new to EPS will be weekdays from 8 to 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. Parents should visit the Welcome Center,in the Administrative Services Center, at 500 S. Independence to enroll their child. Students must be 5-years-old on or before Sept. 1, 2021 to enroll.

If a child is currently an EPS pre-kindergarten student, it will not be mandatory to attend kindergarten enrollment because their school will send enrollment information home with the student to complete.

Parents enrolling their children as EPS students for the first time will need their children’s immunization record, birth certificate (no hospital footprints, however) and verification of address (a bill of some kind).
