(Enid, OK) The Oakwood Mall COVID-19 vaccination clinic location will be moving to the Garfield County Health Department on Monday, April 5th.

The mall has been in use for the clinic since January and the number of Oklahomans getting vaccinated is on the rise, prompting the move to the department with the decrease in vaccination demand.

As of March 22nd, 27.2% of people aged 16 and older in Garfield county had received the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, and 16% have received both or completed the series, according to the OSDH’s Weekly Epidemiology Report.

The mall’s clinic will continue operating this week and the Health Department will offer vaccinations on Tuesday and Thursday before the move on April 5th.

Once the move is complete, vaccines will be administered by staff and volunteers with no drive-thru option. Vaccinations at the Health Department next week will continue to be from 8 a.m. to noon.

Appointments can be made using the vaccination portal. People can call 211 or the Health Department at (580) 233-0650 for any information.

The Garfield County Health Department is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
