(Enid, OK) Enid Ward 6 city commissioner Jeff Funk resigned Friday night, and elected successor Scott Orr is set to be appointed to replace him at the commissioner meeting today.

Funk’s resignation is effective today.

Funk said in a letter addressed to city officials that he’d like Scott Orr to be appointed to the Ward 6 seat at the regular commission meeting tomorrow, April 6th.

According to Tuesday’s city agenda, commissioners will consider appointing Orr, who has agreed to fill Funk’s unexpired term through May.

Orr was elected in February alongside Whitney Roberts and Keith Siragusa. Roberts and Siragusa will be sworn in at the first commission meeting in May. Their terms will run through May 2025.
