(Enid, OK) An Enid man was arrested on Tuesday on counts of lewd or indecent acts with a child younger than 12 years of age and the manufacturing of child pornography.
According to Enid Police Department, the 6-year-old child’s mother discovered a video, dated Feb. 23, 2021, of 41-year-old Justin Ray Smith that depicted a sex act between him and the child on Smith’s Google Photos account.
EPD detectives interviewed Smith about the video where he confessed to making the video and the acts, according to police.
Smith said that he had blacked out and the act was an unconscious, drug-and-alcohol-induced mistake. Smith went on to say that he awoke while in the act but couldn’t account for him videoing himself in the process, the EPD said.
Smith was taken into custody Tuesday afternoon following the interview with EPD detectives.
He was booked into Garfield County Detention Facility and is being held without bail.
