(Enid, OK) Chisholm High School’s Principal Shane Dent and Assistant Principal/Athletic Director Joey Reinart both have resigned from their current positions, as of last week.
Chisholm Public Schools Board of Education approved their resignations on Wednesday and will go into effect June 30.
Dent has served as CHS principal since 2015 and was middle school principal from 2006 to 2014. Dent will become the new principal of Ponca City High School.
Reinart was the CHS head football coach since 2009 and became assistant principal/athletic director in 2013. No reason was given for Reinart’s resignation.
The board of education also approved the hiring of their replacements.
Angela Avila, current principal of Henessey Middle and High School, will begin her job as Chisholm’s high school principal, and Gary Riley will take the assistant principal and athletic director positions.
Current dean of students for Chisholm Middle School Brett Barnes was hired as the school’s new principal.
No football coach has been hired at this time.
