The Foo Fighters-headlined Osheaga festival has once again been postponed.

Dave Grohl and company were originally scheduled to play the Montreal event in 2020, and remained on the bill when it was pushed to 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Now, Osheaga’s been delayed once more, to July 2022.

“We’ve been working since last summer to try to deliver the full festival experience to fans,” Osheaga organizers say in a statement. “We are keenly aware of how important live music is to our fans and our city, and how much everyone misses it!”

“We want to be back there in the midst of it, too,” the statement continues. “But the truth is that it takes several months to line up the various elements to create a festival, and with current uncertainty, we don’t have that luxury — that said, we remain hopeful that the situation will improve enough so that we can be back in action soon.”

It has not yet been announced whether Foo Fighters, or the other announced headliners Post Malone and Cardi B, will return for the 2022 festival.

The Foos, meanwhile, are still scheduled to headline Bonnaroo 2021 in September.
