State Sees Almost 2k New COVID-19 Cases in Past Week, 72 New Deaths Recorded

(Enid, OK) Oklahoma reported 1,630 COVID-19 cases and 72 deaths in the past week, according to Oklahoma State Department of Health on Wednesday.

OSDH releases its weekly COVID-19 numbers on Wednesday. The Acute Disease Service shows Oklahoma has 6,788 confirmed deaths related to the virus since last March.

Cases in Garfield County increased by 24 in the past week for a total of 7,782, with 168 active cases.

Of the county’s 128 deaths, 118 have been in Enid. St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center reported no new COVID-19 patients and no new deaths, while Integris Bass Baptist Health Center reported one COVID patient and no deaths.

Other Northwest Oklahoma county increases included 11 in Woodward, seven in Kingfisher and two in Blaine, two in Grant and two in Noble County.
