44 COVID-related Deaths Reported in Past Week, State Sees Over 1.5k Cases

(Enid, OK) The Oklahoma State Department of Health reported on Wednesday 1,593 COVID-19 cases in the state and 44 deaths in the past week and saw a drop in active cases.

Cases in Garfield County increased by 15 for a total of 7,797 since last March, with 25 cases active, a decrease of 143 since last week.

Integris Bass Baptist Health Center in Enid reported that it had two patients and no deaths.

Of the county’s 128 reported deaths, 118 have been in Enid, with five in Lahoma, one each in Garber, Drummond, Fairmont and Covington and one not listed by town according to the OSDH data.

Weekly case increases in other Northwest Oklahoma counties included four in Woodward, three in Kingfisher, two in Blaine, two in Noble and one each in Woods and Major counties.

The OSDH releases its weekly numbers on Wednesdays.
