Enid Police Arrest Suspect in Multiple Vehicle Thefts

(Enid, OK) The Enid Police Department arrested 20-year-old Alexis Mi’kel Perry, an Enid resident, Thursday morning on complaints connected to multiple vehicle thefts and burglaries.

Perry was arrested on two complaints of larceny of a motor vehicle, two complaints of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, possession of a controlled dangerous substance & knowingly concealing stolen property.

Perry was also the suspect in two different vehicle thefts, according to a press release from the EPD. The first theft occurred May 1st on the 600 block of East Princeton and the second on May 3rd on the 300 block of East Cornell. Both of the vehicles have been recovered.

The EPD learned that Perry was at the Holiday Motel on Rock Island Blvd late Wednesday night and noticed Perry in the area. A Garfield County Sheriff’s Office deputy stopped her and she provided them with a false name, according to the EPD.

Perry agreed to be interviewed about the thefts and initially denied involvement, but later admitted to stealing the two vehicles for joyrides, according to police.

Perry was placed under arrest for obstruction and providing a false name. She was found in possession of a white crystalline substance, found to be methamphetamine. She also had a lanyard with more than a dozen keys, including keys for a Dodge, Ford, Toyota and other vehicles.

Perry was taken into EPD custody on the felony complaints and booked into the Garfield County Detention Facility.

Perry also was a suspect in several other cases, so affidavits were sent to Garfield County District Attorney’s Office seeking further charges. The investigation is ongoing.
