Enid Woman Dies in Accident Early Tuesday Morning

(Enid, OK) An Enid woman died in a two-vehicle accident on Tuesday on U.S. 81, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

Around 7:16 a.m., 22-year-old Cheyenne Webb was driving a 2017 Ford Fusion southbound on U.S. 81 near Lake Hellums Road when the vehicle entered the northbound lane and struck a 2011 Ford pickup, driven by 26-year-old Dorothy Housworth, according to the OHP.

Webb was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident due to her injuries and was transported to Enid by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home, according to the report by the OHP.

Housworth was transported to St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center by Life EMS, where she was admitted in stable condition with leg injuries.

Webb was stuck in the vehicle for about 90 minutes before Kremlin Fire and Rescue was able to extract her, the report said.

The highway was closed for about five hours, opening back up around 12:06 p.m.

Webb’s condition at the time of the collision is unknown, and Housworth’s condition was normal, the report said.

Seat belts were equipped and used by both Webb and Housworth. The roadway was wet due to the weather, according to the OHP.
