Billy Joel's 1978 classic "My Life" has found a new lease on life as part of the soundtrack to the new Paul Rudd and Will Ferrell Apple TV + series. The 52nd Street favorite, which was first used on the small screen back in 1980 in re-recorded form for ABC's Bosom Buddies, has now been remixed and is featured in the trailer for The Shrink Next Door, which premieres on November 12th.

Not long after its initial release, Billy Joel spoke about the universality of "My Life" across our lives: ["I think it's more or less a feeling everyone has at one time, or another. Like, kids say it to their parents — 'Look, I don't care what you say any more, this is my life' — parents say it to their kids: 'Get outta the house, this is my life now.' Lovers say it to each other when they break up."] SOUNDCUE (:12 OC: . . . they break up)
