An upcoming movie depicting Machine Gun Kelly as a doomed musician will change its title following a powerful complaint from the brother of the late rapper, Mac Miller. His brother posted: “F*** you. F*** your movie. At least change the title.”
It was enough to get the attention of the production team behind the movie, who agreed they would change the title. They stated: “It was intended as homage to Mac Miller and other artists gone too soon,” but they understand that it “feels disrespectful.”
They also said that “It's not in any way a biopic or based on any artist's true life.”
The movie title was, Good News, which was the name of one of Miller’s songs.
In 2018, Miller, whose real name was Malcolm McCormick, died of an accidental drug overdose, he was 26.
