An expose from The New Yorker published on Saturday (July 3rd) revealed that Jamie Spears called his daughter “fat,” a “whore” and a “terrible mother” shortly after the conservatorship began.
Jacqueline Butcher, a former friend of the Spears family who was present in court for the creation of Britney Spears’ conservatorship, told the outlet that she witnessed the abuse shortly after the pop star taped her guest appearance on How I Met Your Mother in 2008.
Butcher revealed, “Jamie said, ‘Baby,’ and I thought he was going to say, ‘We love you, but you need help.’ But what he said was ‘You’re fat. Daddy’s gonna get you on a diet and a trainer, and you’re gonna get back in shape.’” She added that in the following weeks he would “get all in her face” with spittle flying, “telling her she as a whore and a terrible mother.”
Butcher added that Britney was told she could only see her kids again if she cooperated but only regained limited access to her children, even after choosing to cooperate.
