(Watonga, OK) An investigation is underway after the death of a 2-year-old in Watonga last month.
According to a press release from the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation on Monday, medical personnel were called to the 500 block of North Hampton in Watonga around 5 p.m. on June 18th to assist with an injured child.
The Watonga Police department requested the OSBI’s assistance on June 19th.
The child was taken to the Watonga heli-pad and transferred to OU Children’s Hospital in Oklahoma City, where the child died three days later on June 21st.
The investigation is open and ongoing, according to the release.
