Oklahoma City Managers Holding Conference in Enid After COVID Delays

(Enid, OK) More than 100 Oklahoma city managers will make their way to the Stride Bank Center in Enid for the annual three-day conference, starting Wednesday, July 21st.

This years’ summer conference for the City Management Association of Oklahoma will be using classes and forums to promote the profession of city management and administration.

Representing Enid will be City Manager Jerald Gilbert and Assistant City Manager Scott Morris. Other city officials will include the director of Visit Enid Rob Houston and Derrick Silas, the city communications director.

City management professionals will participate in session on city council & staff practices, crisis communication, women in management and more. Networking hours are planned with socials being held at local businesses like Enid Brewing Company, Napoli’s & Enid Axe.

The last conference was held in January of 2020 with the pandemic postponing the event until July of 2021.
