OSDH Records More than 1.2k New Cases of COVID-19 in Single Day For First Time in Months

(Enid, OK) Oklahoma reported 1,203 COVID-19 cases in a single day, the highest single day total in months, according to Oklahoma State Department of Health on Wednesday. Over the course of the week, the state saw an increase of 5,249 new cases.

Garfield County’s COVID-19 cases increased by 21 in the past week for an overall total of 7,877, with 18 active cases.

Of Garfield County’s 139 deaths, 128 have been in Enid with five in Lahoma, one each in Drummond, Fairmont, Garber, Covington and Waukomis, and one not listed by town, according to OSDH city data.

Other county case increases in Northwest Oklahoma in the past week included 14 in Noble, 10 in Kingfisher, nine in Woods, four in Grant, three in Blaine, two in Woodward and one in Major County.

One death was reported in Woodward and Kingfisher counties.
